Maybe Chelsea Wolfe really won't ever play Sacramento again

Sacramento native Chelsea Wolfe will skip the 916 region on her new tour it seems.

The singer-songwriter, whose style can probably best be described as goth-electronica (gothtronica?) just announced a long string of tour dates with A Dead Forest Index but the closest she’ll come to Sacramento are for two shows in San Francisco, June 1-2 at The Chapel.

Maybe the snub shouldn’t come as a surprise. In 2012, while promoting her Unknown Rooms: A Collection of Acoustic Songs album,  Wolfe told a Harlow’s Restaurant & Nightclub audience that she and her band would never play Sacramento again.

Too bad, Wolfe’s got a new 7” single out, “Hypnos/Flame” and the songs are an enchanting mix of spooky, sonic drama and ethereal minimalism.  It’s available for $10.99 via her website.
